What Is TriDerma Scar Block?
Read our review below about Scar Block. This formula contains a proprietary botanical complex (organic aloe complex) which, apparently have more than 200 healing properties. TriDerma Scar Block, therefore claims to help speed up healing by improving the appearance of existing and new scars. It also claims to promote faster healing of injured skin, minimize new scarring and break down existing scar tissue.
In this review, we list the facts to see if the manufacturer lives up to its claims about the product.
Ingredients And How It Works
- AP4 Organic Aloe Complex
- Silicone gel
The organic Aloe Complex is a botanical complex that contains healing properties to help fight bacteria, soothe pain and reduce swelling. The silicone gel is used as a protective coating.
We find that it is quite important to include ingredients such as medical grade silicone, Onion Extract, Vitamin C, Sunflower, Safflower, Emu oil, Palmarosa and Lavender in a scar formula as they really contribute a lot towards the healing process of scars. We especially feel that there should be at least 3 types of medical grade silicone included in these types of formulas in order to provide a protective layer to seal in moisture and speed up healing.
Daily Serving
The gel should be applied to the affected area twice a day. It can be applied more often for faster results. It is safe to use on any delicate skin area or on children. The gel should preferably be applied within three days after surgery to lessen the chance of scar tissue forming.
The Cost
1 oz tube can be purchased for $17.99. The company does not offer any discounts at this stage.
Guarantee
If you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return it within 30 days after the purchase has been made. They will then either refund, exchange or replace your purchase. It is not mentioned, however, in what state the product should be in for the offer to be valid.
Our Review Summary Of Scar Block
This formula contains healing properties which help to reduce swelling, soothe pain and fight bacteria. It's quite impressive that the company offers a 30-day money-back guarantee even though it is not clear what state the product should be in for the offer to be valid.
There are only two customer reviews available on the company's website. We don't feel that two reviews are enough for clients to really get an idea of what other clients thought of the product.
We found that there are a few ingredients missing in this formula, such as Onion Extract, medical grade silicone, Sunflower, Vitamin C, Emu oil, Safflower, Lavender and Palmarosa. These ingredients are all clinically proven to reduce the forming of scar tissue. These ingredients should, therefore, not be left out of scar formulas. When looking for a truly effective scar formula, we would also be looking for at least three types of medical grade silicone to be included in the ingredient list as they provide a protective layer to seal in moisture and speed up healing. Scar Block does not contain any type of medical grade silicone.
